'Eterno declared winners at Eneterpreneur's showcase at Mobile India 2010: Medianama'

In October 2009, Rediff-funded Eterno Infotech, a Bangalore-based mobile company, decided to go global and has since partnered with Bangladesh-based Inforev and Vietnamese VAS provider Mobile Plus for its product NewsHunt. NewsHunt is a mobile application that offers 15 English and regional language newspapers including Dainik Jagran, Dainik Bhaskar, Sakal, Malayala Manorama, Matrubhumi, Dina Malar and Indian Express on the mobile. Eterno will also be signing an agreement with a Sinhalese firm soon. Inforev is talking to local Bangladeshi papers to launch Newshunt while Mobile Plus has tied up with 2 papers - Vn Express and Dantri. The launches will happen in a month, Chandrashekhar Sohoni, Founder and Director, Eterno Infotech told MediaNama. He said that the company may have to rebrand NewsHunt before going live globally as readers associate the mobile application with India and not an international product.

NewsHunt nominated for Best Mobile Internet Service at Asia Mobile Awards 2009

Eterno is happy to announce NewsHunt platform's nomination for Best Mobile Internet Service at the prestigious GSMA's Asia Mobile Award 2009.
The GSMA announces the shortlist of 40 nominees for the Asia Mobile Awards 2009, which will be presented at the forthcoming Mobile Asia Congress, Asia’s leading mobile communications event that is set to take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong, November 18th & 19th.
Judged by independent analysts, journalists and industry experts, the winners of the GSMA’s Asia Mobile Awards will be presented on 18th November, at the Mobile Asia Congress being held at the famed Happy Valley race course.
The Asia Mobile Awards attracted more than 100 entries this year from companies across Asia and across the mobile value chain, with a wealth of commercially available products, services, content and applications.

Eterno announces availability of NewsHunt for iPhone and Blackberry users

Rediff.com invests in Eterno

Eterno founded by ex- Nokia employees, Umesh Kulkarni and Chandrashekhar Sohoni, today announced an investment from Rediff.com. Bangalore based Eterno is focused on mobile enabling print, radio and television media companies as well as mobile handset makers and mobile operators by providing connected' Mobile applications with Indian Language support on popular mobile operating systems such as Symbian, J2ME and BREW. Airtel launches IndiServer

Airtel has adopted a regional language application, enabling customers to recieve communication from company in Hindi and four regional languages.This service is all set to enhance the concept of customer communication and is primarily aimed at making its services more inclusive.The regional languages include Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam
This services is available in two formats - picture messages and unicode. This platform is capable of sending messages in any indian language and is very user friendly.
